I got to meet this big hairy guy in a funny red suit, that humans call Santa. I was told you tell him everything you want and he will bring it to you, if, you're good. Well, I'm good and I don't know if it's suppose to be a secret, but I asked Santa for a forever family that will love me and play with me and let me love them back with lots of couch sharing and wet kisses. I sure hope Santa can pull this off. Paws crossed. Can you help with my wish?

Rosa went for her first REAL run after heartworm treatment at the dog park in Wauconda. I am happy to say that she did fabulously checking in every 5 minutes or so. You could tell she loved every minutes of her free running time and is now resting comfortably in the air conditioning! :)

Update from Foster Home
What a smart girl! When Rosa came to foster care she did not even know a sit command, with ease she learned a good sit in about 15 minutes! Over the past few months she has shown tremendous progress and knows many commands. Sit, down, stay, leave it, give, wait at the door, wait for my food, gimme paw, spin, go in crate, and house training are just to name a few!! Whew....and she made it look easy! Rosa was protective of her crate when she first arrived, after some training Rosa is beginning to realize that she has nothing to fear and she can rest in her crate in peace. She still prefers that dogs leave her alone when she is resting or chewing a bone and will occasionally give a growl or a snap. Otherwise, she and her Vizsla playmate have become quite good buddies! They love to wrestle, run, and sun bathe on the deck together.

Rosa has also completed her Heartworm treatment and is doing great.... she has put on some much needed weight and is very happy that she can run again!

Now this is a calendar shot for sure.
I suppose I can share.
Do you really have to take the picture with my mouth open?
All right, all ready. Enough with the camera.

The Life of a Beautiful Rose
Hello! I'm Rosa. I came to IBR for a second chance, but they are giving me much more than that. First off they gave me a name fitting to a girl, Rosa. Others were calling me Red!
Look how pretty I sit.
Don't you think I have a great smile.

Wouldn't you like to meet me? I know I'd like to meet you.
